The Abingdon Farmers Market is now in its regular season. The market will be open every Tuesday from 3pm – 6pm and every Saturday from 8am – 1pm until Thanksgiving. The market is located on the corner of Remsburg Dr. and Cummings Street in Abingdon, VA. Throughout the season there will be a variety of events taking place. Everything from a Berry Festival to a Squashtober festival will be on the agenda for the Abingdon Farmers Market this season. There will also be over 50 vendors from local farms and artisans set up to sell their goods and to promote fresh local food throughout the community each week. Make sure to check back on the website so you don’t miss out on any Music at the Market Performers or Chef Demonstrations to come this season!!!
This Saturday, June 27th: The Abingdon Farmers Market Berry Festival!
The Abingdon Farmers Market will hold its first annual Berry Festival Saturday, June 27th. With free berry tastings, a best dessert competition, live music and fun activities for kids, the festival is a time to celebrate the start of berry season in Southwest Virginia and the true beginning of summer. The Abingdon Farmer’s market opens at 8:00am Saturday, with Berry Festival events kicking off at 9:00am.
The Abingdon Farmers Market has served as a place for farmers, artisans and food producers to sell their wares directly to the community for over a dozen years. Located at the corners of Remsburg Dr. and Cummings Street in Abingdon, VA, the market is open year-round.
